Free online darts scoreboard

Score 501, 301, 701 and Cricket for up to four players. No signup, no ads, and it keeps working offline once it has loaded.

How to use the scoreboard

  1. Pick a game. 301, 501 or 701 (double out or straight out) or Cricket, then how many legs to play and who's throwing. Up to four players.
  2. Enter each visit. In 301, 501 and 701, type the total for your three darts and tap Enter, or tap a common score like 60, 100 or 140. If you bust, tap Bust. In Cricket, tap S, D or T on the number you hit for each dart, or Miss.
  3. Read the finish. On 170 or less the scoreboard shows a checkout route for the player throwing, so nobody has to work out what's left.
  4. Fix mistakes with Undo. It steps back one visit (or one dart in Cricket) at a time, even after a leg is won.

The game is kept in your browser, so a refresh or a locked phone won't lose it, and the screen stays on while it's open (in browsers that allow it). Nothing is sent anywhere, and there's no account.

501, 301 and 701

Everyone starts on the same score and counts down to exactly zero, and the last dart has to be a double (or the bullseye) when double out is on. Going below zero, leaving 1 or finishing off a single is a bust: the score goes back to where the visit started. Full 501 rules.

Cricket

Close 15 to 20 and the bull with three marks each (a double is two marks, a treble three). Extra marks on a number you've closed score its value while an opponent still has it open; close everything with as many points as anyone to win. Full cricket rules.

Questions

Is this online darts scorer free?

Yes. There's no signup, no ads and nothing to install. Open the page on a phone, tablet or laptop and start a game. Once it has loaded it keeps working without a connection.

How do you keep score in darts?

In 501 each player starts on 501 and subtracts the total of every visit (three darts) until someone hits exactly zero, finishing on a double. In Cricket you mark off 15 to 20 and the bull, three marks each, and score points on numbers you've closed. The scoreboard does the subtraction, the busts and the marks for you.

What is the double out rule?

Your last dart has to land in the double ring or the bullseye and take you to exactly zero. Reaching zero off a single or treble, going below zero, or leaving 1 is a bust, and your score goes back to what it was before the visit. Turn double out off for straight out, where any dart that reaches zero wins.

What do I do when I bust?

Tap Bust. The visit counts as three darts with no score and play passes on. The scoreboard won't accept a visit total that would bust, so you can't record one by mistake.

Will I lose the game if I refresh or my phone locks?

No. The current game is saved in your browser after every visit and comes back when you reopen the page. The screen also stays on while a game is open, in browsers that support it. Starting a new game clears the old one.

Can it save my match history and stats?

This page only keeps the game you're playing. The free Darts Scorekeeper app for iPhone saves your matches with 3-dart and first-9 averages and per-player stats, and shows the checkout after every dart.
