Darts Scorekeeper for iPhone, by Strange Mesa. Last updated 2026-10-21.

The short version. Your players, scores and stats stay on your iPhone. We collect anonymous app-usage analytics and crash reports to improve the app, and purchase records so purchases work and can be restored. There are no ads, no sign-in, and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites.

What stays on your iPhone

Player names, matches, every dart and visit, and the stats worked out from them are stored only on your device. They aren't uploaded to us or anyone else, and they don't sync between devices. Deleting the app deletes them.

What we collect, and why

App usage analytics (Google Firebase Analytics)

The app records events about how it's used, so we can see what works and what to fix. For example: a new game was opened or started (with the game type, number of players and legs), the first dart was thrown, a leg or match finished (with how many darts were thrown), a match was deleted part-way through, undo was used, a 180 was scored, visit-total entry was switched on or off, or a stats screen was opened. We also record steps in the in-app purchase screens (shown, closed, purchase started, completed, cancelled or failed, restore) and which version of a feature you're seeing when we test changes.

Firebase also collects standard information automatically: device model, iOS version, app version, language, approximate country or region (worked out from your IP address), session and first-open times, and a random identifier for this installation of the app.

Analytics never include player names or scores, and they aren't linked to your name, email or Apple Account.

Crash reports (Google Firebase Crashlytics)

If the app crashes, a crash report is sent with the technical details needed to fix it: where in the code it crashed, device model, iOS version, app version, free memory and disk space, and a random identifier for the installation.

Purchases (Apple and RevenueCat)

In-app purchases are made through Apple. Apple handles payment, and we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to confirm purchases and restore them. RevenueCat receives your App Store transaction records and a random customer identifier it creates for the app. It doesn't receive your name or email.

Apple Ads attribution

If you installed the app after seeing one of our ads on the App Store, Apple's AdServices framework can tell us which campaign, ad group and search keyword led to the install. The app passes Apple's attribution token to RevenueCat, which asks Apple for that campaign information. This tells us which ads work; it doesn't identify you.

What we don't do

Who processes the data

These services may store data on servers outside your country. Analytics and crash data are kept for the periods set in Firebase and then deleted.

Your choices

Children

The app isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

This website

This site has no analytics, no ads and no cookies. The checkout calculator remembers your darts-left and double-out settings in your browser's local storage; that never leaves your device. Our hosting provider (Google Firebase Hosting) keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and pages requested, to run and protect the service.

Changes

If we change what the app collects, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
